Very small and bushy Indicas are used for the production of Afghani Hashish. In Afghanistan, hashish is pressed by hand with a small added quantity of tea or water. The Hashish is worked on until it becomes highly elastic and has a strong aromatic smell. Before being shipped, however, it is often pressed in 100g slabs.
Afghani hashish is produced everywhere in and around Afghanistan, with the best quality mostly coming from the northern provinces between Hindu Kush and the Russian border (Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif).
